June 9, 2020 | BBPA Arbitration for Providers
The Office of Insurance Commission is hosting a webinar for the provider community to share information and “best practices” about the arbitration process of the state’s balance billing law passed in 2018 (HB 1065: Balance Billing). This bill was a high priority for WSSP and physician specialty organizations including radiology, pathology, anesthesiology, surgery and emergency medicine. The law protects health care consumers from receiving surprise bills for out of network services and puts in guidelines and an arbitration process to ensure providers are fairly reimbursed for care. Understanding the arbitration process is very important, so please consider having a representative from your practice attend this webinar. .
